After nearly two weeks of influenza A and a secondary infection, I’m slowly finding my way back to myself.

In this episode, I share what perseverance has looked like across illness, 17 years in business, the relaunch of Retreat Me Happy and our dream of spending three months in India.

Because perseverance doesn’t always mean pushing through.

Sometimes it means taking the next step.
Sometimes it means fiercely protecting the dream.
And sometimes it means letting go of the plans draining the energy that dream requires.

Off to the USA 🇺🇸 today ✈️ Just me & my

Off to the USA 🇺🇸 today ✈️

Just me & my boy this time.

Slightly delayed … by 4 days. I had to postpone when I got a secondary inflection after 8 days of influenza A 😩

But when you’re going to visit a 103.5 year old relative, it’s important to be healthy.
Also, literally would not have made it through the airport - I was so drained and unwell.

So, finally! We are off.

9 days with my dearest Cuzzy Bill Hunter & my darling son Finn. At 5.5 years old, this is Finn’s 7th visit to the USA.

Travel is my North Star ⭐️
But over and above the gallivanting, I travel to be the ones I love 🤍.

And thanks to my #blesiurelife - my businesses (all three of them - The Bleisure Coach, Rest & Receive, and Retreat Me Happy) can continue while I travel. Thanks to my amazing team & some planning.

But for now - out of office is on as we make our 24-30 hour journey to Cuzzy’s house.

Travel mode activated.

Day 1 - Gold Coast to Sydney ✈️

With 4 hours sleep under my belt, and facing a 15 hour flight tomorrow … and fast approaching 10pm, this photo dump is all I got in me.

Finn did awesome.
We’ll miss Matt.
Loved seeing ALL the grandparents today.
Emotional surprise at a shopping centre - seeing my late nephew’s photo for a charity campaign.
Sentimental gift for my Great Aunt.

And … bed.

Face mask.
Book.
Sleep.

Wish us luck for tomorrow 🙏🫶
