A few people have asked me, "Why India?" The simp A few people have asked me, "Why India?" The simple answer is... business. Not because I'm leaving Australia or stepping away from my work. Quite the opposite. I'm spending three months in India because that's where a big part of my business is growing. For the past nine years, I've partnered with Indus Bound, helping Australians experience India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. As the retreat side of my business has grown, so has the opportunity to support retreat hosts on the ground through Rest & Receive. I've also had the chance to do more speaking and MCing in India, and it feels like I just keep being called back there. Australia is one of the largest tourism markets for India, despite our relatively small population. It makes sense for me, as an Australian business owner working with Australians, to spend more time there, strengthen those relationships, and keep creating incredible experiences for my clients. Sometimes growing your business isn't about working harder. It's about being closer to where the opportunities are. I’m learning that sometimes perseverance looks l I’m learning that sometimes perseverance looks like changing the plan. Not forcing yourself onto the flight. Not squeezing in another trip. Not filling every available space. Not trying to give everything your full energy at the same time. I’ve had to change and cancel a lot of plans lately, and strangely, that’s taught me more about perseverance than simply “pushing through” ever could. Because I’m not giving up on the big things. I’m making space for them. Sometimes perseverance is knowing what matters enough to keep going for, and what you need to let go of along the way. What are you making space for right now?
Happy 40th birthday, darling Tess! 🩷✨🥳 I’ve had the absolute pleasure of knowing this incredible woman for 11 years now! We met on a cycling trip in Cambodia, where she was being her usual generous self, raising money for World Vision. She’s since gone on to combine her love of puppies and charity through her work with Guide Dogs. 🐶❤️ I’m so grateful to have a friend who truly shows up for me. From her many visits to the Gold Coast, to being my unofficial roommate whenever I came to Melbourne, to supporting each other through some pretty big life moments over the years. But not only is she an incredible support, she’s also THE MOST FUN! If you want a party, a laugh, a good time and a whole lot of sparkle, Tess is your gal! 💃✨ I’m absolutely gutted I can’t be there to celebrate with you today, but I can’t wait until we can celebrate you properly. For now, I’m reliving some of our beautiful memories together. Tess, you’re an incredible friend, an amazing family member and just an all-round wonderful human. Perseverance. The word I DIDN’T choose for 2026. Perseverance. The word I DIDN’T choose for 2026. 😂 My word was GOLDEN. Abundant, successful, expansive. But lately, perseverance keeps finding me. And I’m learning it doesn’t always mean pushing harder or doing more. Sometimes it’s resting. Changing the plan. Letting something go. Protecting your energy. Sometimes it’s simply: One step. Then another. Then another. The question I’m asking myself now is: What am I actually persevering FOR? Because I only have so much energy, focus and capacity, and I want to spend it on what really matters. What does perseverance look like for you right now? ❤️
