You can choose Bhutan. You can choose Nepal. Or… you can join us for the ultimate Himalayan Journey of a Lifetime. This photo was taken in 2015 at over 4,000 metres high, four days into a trek through Bhutan. It was the “Trek to Happiness,” raising funds for Black Dog Institute. I was the tour leader on that trip. That girl in the photo… she had no idea that her tour experience, her event work, her coaching would all lead her back here. Not as a tourist, but as a retreat host. As the founder of Rest and Receive Retreats. Because it was here in Bhutan that I received the greatest gift: an understanding of what it truly means to pursue happiness. The simplicity. The beauty. The nature. How soul-filling, motivating, inspiring it can be. I remember sitting in the famous Tiger’s Nest, such an icon, a true bucket list moment, with my wonderful guide Rinchen. I asked him, “What does Buddhism mean to you? What does it look like in Bhutan?” And he said simply: “Be good.” As tears streamed down my face, I realised how much we strive to be amazing, exceptional, “great.” But to live a happy life? It’s to be good. To have enough. To be enough. To live a content life. A good life. That moment never left me and it’s what shaped the Bleisure Life philosophy. 🌿 Work + Wealth 🌿 Travel + Leisure 🌿 Self-care + Soul So, my invitation to you: 💛 Is Bhutan calling you? 💛 Or Nepal and its breathtaking calm? 💛 Or are you ready to say yes to the ultimate Himalayan experience? Happy birthday to my papa Brian Lovell. I arrange Happy birthday to my papa Brian Lovell. I arranged to be in Sydney for Dad’s birthday, and then by a change in events, Finn was also able to be with me. We had a beach play, brunch (with some fancy drinks) presents and lots of cuddles. Even better special birthday treat - our dear friend Gopal Adhikari from Nepal happened to be in Sydney! He travelled over with his daughter to meet us in Coogee and it was amazing. 10 years ago, I was a tour leader and Gopal was our head guide, to Everest Base Camp. We worked together so well, but more importantly we built a strong friendship. And then 8 years ago, 2017, dad and I went back to Nepal and trekked to Namche Bazaar. A moment we’ll both treasure forever. I can still hear the giggles over cards each night - Dad and Gopal were thick as thieves. Today, meeting his beautiful daughter - it was like just seeing another dear friend. She said it wasn’t like a first meeting. And of course, now my darling son Finn was there too. And one more special thing - I announced my next retreat will be (actually two retreats) going to Nepal in October 2026! And we are ALL planning to unite there. Happy happy birthday Dad. Love you x And love our adventures! See you somewhere in the world 🌏 again soon.
Lady Gaga 💞✨ My money archetype muse. She’s a maverick (rebel), a total celebrity (born performer) and a nurturer (always looking out for her little monsters.) And we’ve grown up together! Her music has been a consistent part of my adult years. Hearing Just Dance and Poker Face LIVE transported ne right back and showed me how far we’ve come! She is an absolute rock star and a powerhouse vocalist. Honestly one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. So epically grateful these tickets came to me. Ask & you shall receive ✨ And if it’s meant for you, it will happen. I was meant to be here tonight. Thank you @theresetarlintonspeaker for being an amazing concert buddy! And to @_pico_sanchez for bringing the A game to the pre game. Love you wolfy. But the applause 👏 is all for Lady Gaga tonight. As Oprah said last night “applause: applause, applause.”
