We have been friends so long, and met up in so many places around the world - I legitimately forgot our origin story. She’s my sister! We connected so deeply - in Melbourne originally apparently - but we both studied in her home city Monterrey, Mexico. We’ve since hung out countless times in different parts of the USA and even visited her home in mexico together. Now my son calls her Tia Fabi (aunty Faby) Tonight we discussed retirement plans and we are going to be crazy old ladies partying by the beach in Mexico, me writing books, her cooking up a storm. Disneyland 2.0 2 parks in 1 day. And 2nd time w Disneyland 2.0 2 parks in 1 day. And 2nd time within a year that we’ve made it here! Disney California Adventure - followed by a return to Disneyland. As always, the Disney Magic was there! And yes - we did just get off a 10 day Cruise, and go straight from the port, to our hotel in LA. And then to an 11 hour day at Disney! 20,000 steps tracked. #bleisurelife #makememories #travelwithkids #familytime❤️
India is not cheap. I know that might surprise yo India is not cheap. I know that might surprise you. Every time I visit (I've recently completed my 18th trip), I still hear: “I could never go to India.” “India is so hard.” “It’s such a struggle.” And yes, it can be confronting. It’s layered. It’s complex. There is a disparity that I am not going to ignore or deny. But that’s not the whole story. India is now the world’s fourth largest economy. It has the largest middle class in the world. There is abundance there. There is innovation. There is extraordinary luxury. We often see one narrative: slums, chaos, intensity. What we don’t talk about enough? India does luxury exceptionally well! Some of the best service I have experienced anywhere in the world has been there. Your money goes further, not because it’s “cheap”, but because the level of inclusion, detail, and care is exceptional. You can stay in literal palaces for what you’d pay for a standard hotel in a major Australian city. Not five-star. Seven-star. India is not one thing. It’s a full spectrum.
