Our lives change tomorrow. There are a few moment

Our lives change tomorrow.

There are a few moments in life where you know, without a doubt, that everything will be different after this.

Our child starting school is one of them.

The only other times I’ve felt this way were
✨the night before our little boy was born
✨the night before we got married.

Moments where there’s a clear line in the sand, life before, and life after.

Maybe the night before I left for my gap year counts too, my first solo travel. But at 18, I naively believed I’d come back and everything would be just the same. Sweet, delulu little me.

Now, I know better. There are just a handful of these big, conscious shifts. Yes, life throws surprise changes at us all the time; but these are the rare moments when you see it coming. When you feel it.

We’ve been building to this milestone for a while, perhaps even from the moment he was born. Entering the formal education system is huge. And Finn is ready. I think, in our own way, we all are.

I feel a mix of emotions, but mostly, I feel proud. So proud of the way Finn embraces new adventures, of how adaptable he is. Of course, there will be a transition, but he’s set up beautifully for this next chapter.

Thank you to everyone who’s sent love, kind words, and shared in this milestone with us.

I’m in awe and wonder, really, that this little guy has been in our lives for five whole years and we’ve had the privilege of guiding him. And now, he steps into this new adventure.
His own journey.
His own world that’s just his, without us.

So to my little love, Finn, wishing you the most magical first day of school.

We are epically proud of you.
We love you.
And you will always have a safe place in our home, and in our hearts 💕.

The inspo for this trip?

My girl @iammiriamerrington is celebrating her birthday!!

She invited me to her lovely home to join her friends and family as part of her festival of birthday celebrations. And I said “yes”.

I love a reason to travel and all my trips have a purpose.

Celebrating a darling friend is a fabulous reason to get in a plane.

And of course I add in some business, with more leisure - aka my networking celebration drinks. Choosing a date for events is always a challenge so having an event to come to and a reason to travel - Perfect.

It’s been a joy to be on your journey with you Miriam and I’m so excited for what’s to come. Thank you for allowing me to share in this gorgeous day.
