Travel The World, Make Money, And Live A Life You Love Now…

One of the best pieces of feedback I’ve received One of the best pieces of feedback I’ve received as an emcee wasn’t about my energy, my timing, or keeping the event running smoothly.

It was that people enjoyed my contribution to the conversation.

That meant a lot because I don’t see my role as simply reading a run sheet or introducing the next speaker. My job is to listen. To be genuinely curious. To understand what’s being said and ask the question that helps the audience go a little deeper.

I think people can tell when you’re truly interested. They lean in because the conversation feels authentic, not scripted. And when the host is engaged, the audience becomes more engaged too.

Whether I’m facilitating a panel, interviewing someone on stage or hosting a conference, that’s always what I’m aiming for. Not simply to keep the event moving, but to create conversations that people remember.

It’s a lovely reminder that communication isn’t just about speaking well.

It’s about listening well too.

One of my intentions with every retreat is to crea One of my intentions with every retreat is to create an experience where people feel genuinely cared for.

Not just through the venue or the program, but in the little details. The welcome, the conversations, the space to breathe, and the feeling that you can simply arrive as you are.

Receiving feedback like this reminds me why I love what I do.

*"The care Emma takes in designing the retreat for her guests is next level. You have a natural ability to create a VIP experience and be relatable and human at the same time. Emma provides a safe, nurturing space for her guests, allowing us to relax and reignite. Thrilled we've connected and thank you."*

Thank you so much for your beautiful words. It was such a joy to share the experience with you.

If you booked me to MC your event… what would I If you booked me to MC your event… what would I wear?

After my last post about my unicorn leggings, so many people wanted to know what else is in my wardrobe.

So, here’s a little fashion parade.

You’ll find sequins, bright colours, the occasional unicorn, and one of my favourite looks from emceeing an international conference in India, where I wore a traditional lehenga skirt and dupatta with a Western top.

People sometimes ask if I worry about standing out.

The answer is no.

Because when you’re on stage, standing out is part of the job.

It’s never about the outfit alone. You still need to listen, connect with the audience, think on your feet and create an experience people remember.

But what we wear becomes part of our presence. It sets the tone before we’ve even picked up the microphone and gives people a sense of our personality.

One of my favourite compliments from a recent gala was that I “literally sparkled.” The sequin suit made people smile before the event had even begun. It became a conversation starter and helped create exactly the atmosphere the organisers wanted.

I also loved wearing a traditional outfit while emceeing in India. It was my way of honouring the event and the culture, and so many people came to chat with me afterwards. It created another point of connection.

I know I show up differently when I feel good in what I’m wearing.

So if you invite me to MC your event, there’s a very good chance there’ll be sequins…

…and there will definitely be plenty of sparkle.

They didn’t want me to wear my unicorn 🦄🌈l They didn’t want me to wear my unicorn 🦄🌈leggings.

I was the regular MC for a monthly breakfast series, so I’d already hosted a number of events for them. A few weeks after one breakfast, I was told my unicorn leggings had become a point of discussion in a meeting about future events.

The event had already happened. The audience loved it. People had shared photos with me, laughed at my joke (“Business on the top, party on the bottom!”), and we’d had another successful morning.

My response?

“Then I’m probably not the MC for you.”

It was never really about the leggings.

It was about personality.

When people hire an MC, they’re not hiring someone to read a run sheet. They’re hiring someone to bring energy, connect with the audience, and create an experience.

That’s why I wear bright colours. Sequins. Sometimes unicorns. When I’m in India, I wear Indian attire. I always want to honour the event and the audience, but I’m also going to show up as me.

Because if I leave my personality at home, anyone could stand on stage and read from a script.

Your personality isn’t something to tone down.

It’s often the very reason people choose you.

So if you’re looking for an MC who wears sequins, occasionally unicorns, and always brings energy… I might just be your person.

The women I think will love this retreat most? Th The women I think will love this retreat most?

The ones who carry a lot.

The leaders.
The decision makers.
The business owners.
The women everyone else relies on.

You’re constantly making decisions, solving problems, supporting others and thinking about what’s next.

But when was the last time you gave yourself the space to think strategically about your life?

Not while folding washing.
Not between meetings.
Not with a hundred tabs open in your mind.

Real space.

That’s why I’ve created The Ultimate Bleisure Weekend at the exclusive QT Gold Coast Cabins.

Hidden away within QT Gold Coast, these private cabins feel like their own little oasis. Beautifully designed, peaceful and intentionally separate from the busyness of everyday life, they’re the perfect place to step back, breathe and think clearly again.

This isn’t about escaping your life.

It’s about stepping out of it for long enough to celebrate how far you’ve come, reconnect with what matters most, and make intentional decisions about where you’re heading next.

We’ll share incredible meals, meaningful conversations, thoughtful workshops, slow mornings, fireside evenings and plenty of space to simply be. Everything is taken care of, so you can focus on yourself for a change.

Because sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause.

Not because you’ve earned it.

Because your future deserves it.

📍 QT Gold Coast Cabins
📅 27–29 August 2026

An intimate retreat for just 12 women who are building businesses, careers and lives they genuinely love, and want the space to make sure they’re still heading in the direction they truly want.
